Every number in this app is derived, and every derivation is inspectable. The pages here are the whole pipeline, the exact math, the cash and currency rules, the assumptions behind it, and what the terms mean.
These pages reflect the demo account's settings — risk-free rate 2.0%, VaR confidence 95%, rebalancing band ±20%, reporting currency EUR, region —. In your own account they are yours to set, and every formula below re-substitutes to match.
These are the stages that ran for the demo account just now, in the order the engine depends on them, with the time each actually took. Not an illustration — the measurements come back with the data.
Time-weighted return (TWR) answers 'how well did my investment decisions perform?' It strips out the size and timing of your deposits, so it's comparable to a benchmark index — the performance charts and the Sharpe/Sortino/drawdown stats are built on it.
Money-weighted return (XIRR) answers 'what return did my actual euros earn?' A big deposit right before a rally counts more. Shown alongside TWR on the KPI row.
Every return on every screen carries one of these badges, inside the metric rather than as a caption someone forgets to add. Two returns with different bases are not comparable, and saying which is which is the difference between a figure and a claim.
Cash flows removed. What the money earned, independent of when you added or withdrew — the right basis for judging the portfolio.
Flows included. What you actually earned, timing and all — the right basis for judging your decisions.
After the costs actually charged. Fees and tax are reported separately because you can act on one and not the other.
Deflated by CPI over the window analysed, not a single year of it. Shown only when a region is set — a real return of 0% would otherwise read as 'inflation was zero'.
Market value before costs. The headline value figure.
